Originally from Hanoi, Quasar Khanh came to Paris in 1949. He was a designer of cars and boats, an architect and a fashion designer. He was the first to have the idea of a fully inflatable line of furniture. In 1968 he launched the Aerospace collection entirely in plastic. Having passed away in 2016, all his work is now revealed thanks to the publication of this wonderful book : QUASAR KHANH, DESIGNER VISIONNAIRE. The preface is signed by Philippe Starck.
Designer Philippe Starck has created a spotlight that can be adjusted with a broomstick.
The French designer – best known for products including the Juicy Salif lemon squeezer and the Louis Ghost Chair – got the idea for the product after watching a waiter using a broom handle to reposition the lighting in a New York restaurant.
Presented at Salone del Mobile 2014 in Milan is this unusual and beautiful new collection of water faucets for the bath or kitchen. A collaboration between Axor and designer Philippe Starck for Hansgrohe, the Axor Starck V collection serves the technical function of a faucet and combines it with the visual experience of watching water form a swirling vortex and “free-fall” into the washbasin.
A world of whimsical inspired by Starck style and refined sophistication comes to Panama. Located in the heart of Balboa Avenue, a spectacular strip that borders the ocean and offers magnificent views of the Panama Bay and Panama Canal, the 56 story building with architecture by Bettis-Tarazi Arquitectos in collaboration with YOO, towers over the Panama landscape.
